The E19 exhibition, running from 24 to 27 August 2023, brings together Frédéric Graf, Stefanie Koscevic, Philemon Lechot and Ma Martin. The programme lists a private viewing on 24 August from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm; Kunstbulletin confirms the exhibition is taking place at étage 19 in Nidau. Research reveals a constellation with strong local and regional roots: Graf is active within the Biel art scene and at Visarte; Koscevic works with painting and installation in Biel/Nidau; Lechot develops a drawing practice drawing on architecture and self-taught methods; and Ma Martin is documented in Switzerland as a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist.

Frédéric Graf
Frédéric Graf

Frederic Graf is active within the Biel art scene and is documented, amongst other things, in connection with the Centre PasquART Foundation and Visarte. He features regularly in regional exhibitions in the Biel/Bienne area.

Frederic Graf is taking part in the E19 group exhibition in June 2026. His new works, created using a watercolour technique, are entitled *Horizont Nuit*.

Stefanie Koscevic

Stefanie Koscevic is a visual artist based in Biel and Nidau. Her practice encompasses painting and installation; her website documents exhibitions in regional contexts, including E19 in 2023.

Stefanie Koscevic contributes to the E19 group exhibition with a practice that combines painting and installation, exploring colour, the play of light, materiality, rhythm and spatial effects.

Philemon Lechot

Philemon Lechot, born in 1999, grew up in Moutier, studied architecture and also works as a self-taught artist in a studio in Biel. His figurative drawings offer a sensitive perspective on everyday life, closeness, matter and intimate situations.

In the E19 group exhibition, Philemon Lechot presents a drawing-based approach that draws on everyday life, observation, intimacy and figurative condensation.

Ma Martin
Ma Martin

MA Martin works across art, architecture and ceramics, running her practice under the name MA.Martin_Studio. Printmaking and ceramics form two recurring strands of her work, alongside sound-based and project-based formats. A source connected to the print exchange project «Escambo Gráfico 2.0» describes her as a Brazilian artist based in Switzerland. She is a regular presence in the art scene of Biel/Bienne, including a group show at étage 19 in Nidau in 2023 and «Joli Mois de Mai» in Biel/Bienne in 2025.

MA Martin was already a guest at étage 19 in 2023. For «Natura – als Idee» it is her engagement with material that counts: ceramics and printmaking are processes in which earth, pigment, fire and time actively take part and help determine the outcome — nature not as a motif, but as a collaborator in the making.
