This website does not use cookies for analytical or advertising purposes and does not incorporate any tracking. No user profiles are created and no data is analysed for advertising purposes.

What data is collected

Personal data is only collected where you actively enter it:

Contact form — name, email address, message
Membership form — name, address, email address
Newsletter subscription — Name and email address, with confirmation by email (double opt-in)
Interest in purchasing a work — name, address, email address

This data is used exclusively to process your enquiry and for communication from the association. It will not be sold or used for advertising by third parties.

Subscription is via the double opt-in procedure: you will first receive a confirmation email and will only be subscribed once you have confirmed. Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link; once you have unsubscribed, your address will be removed from the mailing list.

The newsletter is sent using étage 19’s own infrastructure: addresses are held in the association’s database (Neon, Frankfurt) and delivery goes through cyon (Switzerland). No data is passed to services outside Switzerland and the EU for this purpose.

We measure whether a message has been opened and whether links within it have been clicked. Each message therefore contains a small, invisible counting image, and its links go via a redirect. Only the time and the count are recorded — no IP addresses and no information about your device. The second link at the foot of every message also lets you choose at any time which language you receive the newsletter in.

Membership and donations

Membership fees and donations are processed via RaiseNow (RaiseNow AG, Zurich), including via TWINT. The payment itself takes place on the RaiseNow platform. Payment details such as card or bank account details are processed there and are not accessible to étage 19 . The association receives the name, address and amount, insofar as this is necessary for membership administration, bookkeeping and donation confirmation.

Services used

The website is hosted on Netlify, whilst the artist and administration portal is hosted on Vercel. The database and file storage (Neon, Vercel Blob) are located in data centres in the EU (Frankfurt). Emails are handled via cyon (Switzerland). DeepL is used for translations. The 3D tours are delivered via Matterport. When loading fonts via Google Fonts, your IP address is transmitted to Google.

Data retention

Data is retained for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods — approximately ten years for accounting-related documents. Newsletter addresses remain stored until you unsubscribe.
