Sergio Rojas Chaves is a Costa Rican artist who works with sculpture, installation, video, photography and performance. His practice incorporates plants, animals and other non-human partners, and explores the relationships between humans, the environment, biology and emotion. His educational background combines architecture, community development and the visual arts; in Switzerland, he has been active in the Basel, Zurich, Biel/Bienne and Neuchâtel areas, amongst others.

Sergio Rojas Chaves is featured on the E19 map with *Follow The Birds*. The title reflects his research into human relationships with plants and animals, and in particular into ways of observing and coexisting with non-human beings.
